Back in our “eat all the carbs” days a friend of ours gave us an amazing recipe for Chicken Lazone- it’s an amazing sauce that you put on chicken and spaghetti.
It never really hit us until last week that the sauce is Sharketo friendly and chicken is as well…so why not just eat it WITHOUT the spaghetti…just a bowl of chicken and sauce.
Well…that’s exactly what we did and it was amazing. We added a side of broccoli and I put some of the sauce on that as well and it was great too!
The main thing to remember about this is that you have to eat it immediately- the sauce will separate due to the grease in the chicken and the heavy cream.
It’s also not very microwave/warm up friendly because it stays separated and just not appetizing at that point- however, if you eat it right away- it’s AMAZING!!!
3 lbs chicken breast, cubed
4 tbsp butter, divided
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
1 c heavy cream
-Add salt, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika to a small bowl and stir it around until it’s all mixed together.
-Sprinkle half of the spice mixture over the chicken breasts and stir it around so that the season gets on all of the chicken. The other half of the spice mixture is for the sauce.
-Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
-Add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes or until cooked through.
-Remove chicken and set aside.
-Add heavy cream, remaining 2 tbsp of butter and the other half of the spice mixture in the same skillet.
-Whisk well until its full combine.
-Bring sauce to a boil and let it thicken slightly, stirring often so it doesn’t burn- about 2 minutes.
-Return chicken to the pan and stir until all of the chicken is well coated.
