Sharked Eggs

Yesterday, I saw someone post a picture of deviled eggs and I about lost it- the cravings hit and I was dying for one.

So….last night, I put some recipes together and came up with one that I call – Sharked Eggs.

Now, I’m not much of a cook but I’m learning and this was the FIRST time every making my version (or any version) of deviled eggs…and I must say, they turned out pretty amazing.

12 Eggs
½ cup mayo
3 tbsp chives
1 tsp mustard
1 pinch of salt
1 dash of pepper
Some sprinkles of paprika
Some bacon

It’s really pretty easy- you hard boil the eggs. I put the eggs in water with some salt, turned the heat up on HIGH until it came to a rapid boil, then I covered them…turned the heat off and let them set for about 12-14 minutes and they turned out perfect. I then put them directly into some ice water and then de-shelled them under running cold water. Worked perfectly.

Cut the eggs in half and remove the yolk- should be a little ball of goodness.

Then, just mix all the stuff up with the yolk and stir really well, fill up the egg halves, sprinkle some paprika and then put little pieces of bacon in them for the shark fins.

The bacon adds some crunchy, flavor and just goes really well with eggs.

This makes 12 servings, just remember that a serving is 2 of them, which equals one egg.

Sharkberry Salad

…. They are just strawberries…. Calm down.

We are still trying and this is one of our favorites!

Just take this stuff and add it together… Put more or less of each ingredient based on your macros…. It’s not complicated at all.

50/50 Dole Salad Mix With Spinach

Crumbled Blue Cheese

Grilled Chicken Breast

Litehouse OPA Strawberry Poppyseed Dressing

Add some walnuts if you want.

Throw is all in a bowl and stir… This stuff is amazing!

One of my favorite sandwiches of all time is the Classic Reubens but the bread kills it and so does drowning in too much Thousands Island.

Today, I came up with the “Reubfin”… Basically just a breadless Reuben! It was incredible and really takes care of that craving and it only has 3 carbs and a ton of protein.

I heated up 4 oz of Corned Beef, threw a piece of Swiss cheese on there and a pile of sauerkraut and just lightly drizzled Thousand Island.

Hammerhead Pizza Dough 2

Made our Hammerhead Pizza Dough again (recipe in the recipe section).

Replaced the mozzarella with cheddar and added some chicken chunks, onions and a little BBQ sauce and it was amazing!

Hammer Head Pizza Dough

Most of us have heard of the biggest craze called “Fat Head Pizza Dough”- it’s basically a low carb pizza crust option and I honestly had my doubts…but those doubts were proven wrong!

We found a ton of recipes but decided to make a few changes to the ones we found and came up with a pretty basic recipes that tastes AMAZING!

We are going to try to change a few things to lower the calorie even more and hopefully get the fat down a little bit- this is great for keto diet which focuses on low card, high healthy fat.

The wife and I made it tonight and I’m serious, it’s amazing! It would be great to use as pita type bread for sandwiches as well.

Most of the recipes we found consider this 6 servings, which would bring the calories down to 182 calories but you would need to have a salad or something with it because it doesn’t really seem like that much, which is why we made ours 2 servings.

It mixes like a pizza dough and rolls out pretty well with parchment paper.

It rolls out really nicely and cooks up perfectly!

We threw some pizza sauce, light cheese, some Turkey pepperoni and mixed peppers and made something pretty healthy and it tastes just as good as any pizza we’ve made before.

1.5 cup Mozzarella Cheese
2 tbsp Cream Cheese with Greek Yogurt (found at Kroger)
.75 cup Bob’s Red Mill Super Fine Almond Flour1 egg
.5 tsp garlic powder

Put the cheese and cream cheese into microwave for 1 minute
Stir and microwave an additional 30 seconds
Mix in flour and egg
Stir until it becomes dough
Put the dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out Remove the top piece of parchment paper and put the dough onto a cookie sheet, leaving it on the bottom piece of parchment paper
Poke holes in dough using a fork

Bake at 425 degrees for 8 minutes
Checked dough and pop any air bubbles with a fork
Bake at 425 degrees for an additional 4-6 minutes

If you are using it as pizza- load it up and pop it back in the oven for a few more minutes to melt any cheese or warm up toppings.
