Project: Sharky Claus is an annual year long toy drive for the children of Central Kentucky. The first annual Sharky Claus was in 2009 and we donated well over $300 in toys!! We are not an “official” nonprofit charity but we are a nonprofit charity in every sense of the word. 100% of the toys go directly to agencies in Central Kentucky to get the toys out. In 2009, the toys were donated to the Early Childhood Center in Lawrenceburg, KY and then donated to Toys for Tots.

We can say that we are 100% nonprofit because we do NOT accept money; we only accept NEW, unopened toys for boys and girls up to age 16.

You can find toys on clearance all through the year and spending a few dollars here and there is a lot easier than trying to donate a large amount during the holidays.

Project: Sharky Claus allows you to pick up some toys on clearance and send them to us; we do all of the storage!!

You can get toys to use 2 separate ways –

1. If you are in Central KY, we would be happy to meet you somewhere or you can bring them directly to us. (email sharky@sharkysworld.com to set up time/location)

2. If you are outside Central KY or just wish to drop them in the mail, you can mail toys to:

As for all the legal stuff, I don’t think you can claim your donation on your taxes or anything like that. We are just people trying to collect toys for kids to have an enjoyable holiday!
