My Butterfly

I see a beautiful butterfly
Lingering close to me
A symbol of perfection
Without trying to be
I closed my eyes and felt the breeze
Of it’s wings fluttering against my skin
It’s butterfly kisses, caressed my cheek
I longed to feel them again
Since it came along
All the pain has seemed to fade
It saved me from the storm
In the sun, it was my shade
It fluttered by
And caught my eye
And changed my gray to blue
The beauty and grace
Of my butterfly
Turned out to belong to you
