Are You Friends With Pedro?
A lot of us are staying home these days and that means more time for video games!
I’ve decided to push myself away from Fortnite for a few minutes a day to try out some different games and there is nothing better for that than Xbox Game Pass (not a sponsor).
Game Pass has a ton of games that I’ve always wanted to try but couldn’t stop going for that victory royale long enough until I finally had all this free time.
Yesterday I finally decided to install “My Friend Pedro” because I’ve seen that banana a million times and Fortnite also has a banana…so it only made sense.
Here is a tip for you- if you like Deadpool- you will LOVE this game. These folks really should work out a deal with Marvel because this is what a Deadpool game should be.
The official description for this game- from Microsoft is-
“My Friend Pedro is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana. The strategic use of split aiming, slow motion, and the ol’ stylish window breach create one sensational action sequence after another in an explosive battle through the violent underworld.
Unleash a torrent of destruction with an incredible level of control over both your weapons and your body. Twist and turn through the air while aiming both hands at priority threats or line up a perfect ricochet to drop an unsuspecting gangster from behind.
Break up the high octane running and gunning a bit with dynamic sequences like a thrilling motorcycle chase or slow it all down and take a moment to think through a series of clever (and possibly fatal) physics-based puzzles.”
I really think that description is perfection.
The game is basically a side scroller type of game that is just fun all the way around. Parts are challenging and parts just give you pure joy as you flip and turn, in slow motion, while killing enemies on both sides of you- Deadpool style!
I played this game for hours yesterday and didn’t want to stop- it’s packed with what I call “controllable chaos”- sometimes, like when you are riding a motorcycle, there is just soooo much stuff going on around you yet you can still manage to do what you need to do pretty well.
This is just a fun shoot-em up game that lets you run through, do amazing things all while killing people, blowing up gas cans and even riding a skateboard while doing some of it.
Plus…there is a banana that talks to you and, I don’t mind saying, has become my new best friend.
His name is Pedro.
Love, Peace and Sharkyness
