My wife found a great chili recipe and edited it for ONE of today’s “In The Kitchen with Sharky and Jackie” and it’s amazing; we made some Sharketo corn bread with it and it’s probably the best chili I’ve ever had and it’s super easy.
2 lbs ground beef
1 lbs ground sausage
2 c beef broth
.5 c chopped bell peppers
2 (15 oz) cans of petite diced tomatoes with juice
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 (4 oz) can of diced green chiles
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
Cook/brown the beef and sausage first.
Combine browned beef and sausage with broth, peppers, tomatoes with their juice, tomato paste, chiles, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt and pepper and stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 – 6 hours.
We put sour cream and cheese on top of it but that is up to taste.
