Shark Attack 2025
The plan is to have a protein coffee (Sharkys Blood) around 6:30am and then have a high protein snack around 9am with my lunch at 12:30am. Another high protein snack and then a smaller dinner.
I will then focus on drinking mostly water, zero sugar Powerade, etc the rest of the day- allowing for one 12oz diet “dessert” soda at the end of the day- my go to right now is Dr. Pepper Strawberries and Cream Zero Sugar.
Along with that I’ll be taking GNC Mega Men Energy One Daily Multivitamin (includes 100mg caffeine) along with 200mg L-Theanine around 10am. This gives the caffeine from the coffee time to work and then that gives me a boost for the afternoon.
I’ll be walking on my two 15 min breaks while at work or I’ll be doing some type of cardio on my 15 min breaks when I’m telecommuting.
My MACRO breakdown is (roughly) –
1400 Calories
70g Carbs
140g Protein
62g Fat
>30g Sugar
I’m mostly focused on HITTING the protein goal while staying under the carbs goal. As a prediabetic, I need to keep my sugar intake under 30g daily as well.
I’ll be using EveryPlate as my meal service- it provides all the food for a portioned out serving as well as all the nutrient facts and I’ve found that the food is a lot fresher. The chicken looks better because it’s not pumped full of crap to “look better” to get us to buy it.
Exercise is pretty standard- going to do about 30 mins of cardio per day (5 days per week)- boxing, Supernatural VR, walking and then weightlifting 3 times a week.
On top of all of that, I’m going back to the “earning medals” each month for reaching exercise goals- that gives me a “reward” and allows me to help charities at the same time. I get a medal for doing 20 hours of working out per month. It takes me roughly an hour to do a 5K so that is basically 20- 5Ks per month.
Most of 2025 (10 months) will be focused on mini medals that go into a big medal to celebrate “Anti-Heroes”.
An Anti-Hero is a central character who lacks conventional heroic attributes, pretty perfect for Sharky Hitchens.
I’ll also be using this apps-
Supernatural – Workout Near, Go Far – this is a VR exercise program that I’ve used, off and on, since 2022. It makes doing cardo fun with amazing coaches and music. You can box or use bats to hit targets or enjoy some of their meditation programs.
Headspace – I’ve used this app a few times and really liked it. I like the feeling of doing meditation and I’m a huge fan of breathing techniques. They also have a very good “Mindful Eating” program and I think it’s important to take a few minutes each day to just stop and simple exist.
Finch Self Care all – this is a great self-care app that makes taking care of yourself into a game almost like an advanced Tamagotchi. It’s been amazing in helping me remember to take my morning and evening pills and to do things from day to day that I get busy and forget about like just doing some simple journaling.
Mind. Body. Charity.
