{"id":298,"date":"2025-04-17T13:56:37","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T13:56:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/?p=298"},"modified":"2025-04-28T20:09:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T20:09:16","slug":"sharky-cozy-gamer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/sharky-cozy-gamer\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharky: Cozy Gamer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve played video games almost my entire life\u2026well, 40 out of the 47 years that I\u2019ve been here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve never been the \u201cnormal\u201d gamer guy- I don\u2019t care much for Skyrim and I\u2019m currently playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0a94218ca087e8a14108ee9b33f5a432-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0a94218ca087e8a14108ee9b33f5a432-1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0a94218ca087e8a14108ee9b33f5a432-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0a94218ca087e8a14108ee9b33f5a432-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0a94218ca087e8a14108ee9b33f5a432-1-345x230.jpg 345w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the last couple of years, I\u2019ve really tried to focus on doing things that make me happy, and it seems playing video games is a major part of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m playing more now than ever and I\u2019m in a great place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve also decided to expand the types of games I play because games like Fortnite and Call of Duty just wasn\u2019t bringing the happiness any longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I still play those games here and there, but I finally discovered he \u201ccozy\u201d area of gaming and I\u2019ve falling in love with it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Animal Crossing New Horizon\u2019s really got me through the amazing year that was 2020- it was the perfect chill game that I needed to get me through the chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cozy games have been around since the 90s with games like Harvest Moon but the genre seems to be blowing up the last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve been researching some of the best \u201ccozy\u201d games to get into and I\u2019ve realized that there is a lack of guys that look like me- big, old, gray beard, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve never been one of those guys worried about what others thing- I mean- I just started playing HKIA- remember?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I finally got a decent gaming laptop, finally got into what all the fuss was over Steam and I\u2019m really enjoying it all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I plan to dive into gaming much more because it\u2019s also helping me with my weight loss journey to give me something else to obsess over- besides food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know that the gaming community is one of the most toxic places out there and I\u2019m fine with that\u2026I mean, one of my all-time favorite games is Dragon Age: The Veilguard and I know that just pissed most of you off.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/sharkysworld.com\/SWO\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Dragon-Age-The-Veilguard-Logo_RGB-scaled-1-409x230.jpg 409w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wanted SharkysWorld to focus on gaming and weight loss and it\u2019s time to get into the gaming stuff.
