I had an employee die on February 10th, 2025 so that anniversary is coming up- it also happens to be the day I decided to make huge changes in my life and started slowing things down, focusing on calmness, happiness and coziness.

I start doing things in my life but I didn’t realize what I was actually doing until this weekend. I’ve always been “late to the party” when it comes to the world around me. I was doing some research and came discovered the word “hygge” – this word explains PERFECTLY what I have created over the last year and it was mindblowing.

Mrs. Cozy Shark always has candles and great smells going and I’ve been focusing on making the house a miniature/crafting/coziness museum and workshop. My favorite moments are doing a craft, Caseoh playing in the back, sipping on a favorite drink…and this is all hygge!!!

Of course, I’ve adapted it to sHarkYgee because that is what I do.

Hygee – a Danish cultural concept focusing on intentional coziness, comfort, and contentment to foster well-being and happiness. Key principles include creating a warm, intimate atmosphere- oftern with candles, soft textiles and wood- embracing slower, more present and grateful lifestyle.
