Hygge Lifestyle

Post like this never “do well,” and that is fine. I enjoy writing and sharing things, so who needs money, right? I say that because I do make about $15–$20 per month just making posts, so I guess I’m a highly paid influencer now.

I had my annual physical last week, and my depression and anxiety are doing WAY better, and since I have a history of that, she had to go through and ask me all types of questions. She asked me what I was doing (besides popping happy pills) to make life better overall.

Back on February 10th, 2025, a top‑5 life‑changing event happened, and I truly hate to make someone’s death “about me,” but it’s just a fact. One of my employees (not my employee, but I was his supervisor) passed away, and it led to a complete change in my life.

My entire life, I’ve always been “on edge.” If I call my son while he’s at college and he doesn’t answer, then he’s dead — that is where my mind goes first. It always has, and it seems it always will, even with the happy pills. I just go to the worst‑case scenario first, and I was always told that it was stupid (like I could change it) but on February 10th — it wasn’t stupid.

So his death led me to look to make changes in my life, and I’ve spent the last 17 months focusing on that — from trying hobbies to playing video games to fully embracing the hygge lifestyle, which is the entire purpose of this post.

I highly suggest buying this book, reading it, and living by it. It will make your life better. Comfy clothes, candles, great smells, being comfy, being happy.

I would like to gear this more toward guys as well — I know, sexist, right?

I’m tired of the “alpha,” “guys have to be strong and can’t like comfy things” mindset, and I do notice society getting away from it, but it still seems really hard for some guys.

I can’t stress these two words enough — screw ’em!

I am so not worried about others and so locked in on my happiness that it feels like I wasted the first 46 years of my life!

I really want to start sharing more about hygge because it has changed my life.

I would also like to end this with: RIP Brandon — he was a good kid, and life truly isn’t fair. I don’t know how to say this without sounding like an asshole, but it’s sad that a tragedy made such a massive impact on me, and while he will never know it, his life made a massive difference in the world — in my world.

Life is short.|
Do what you enjoy.

New Book Nook Game

If you have followed me for awhile, you know that I’ve built several “book nook” and miniatures and it’s one of my favorite hobbies and this demo just came out TODAY!!!!

It is the perfect game for me; I can NOT wait!!! From watching the trailer, it seems that you will build book nooks for each important part of the old man’s life because one book nook has the couple and another has the couple pregnant so I think it’s going to follow his life- plus he has the SAME beard as I do!!!
