Chocolatier

Rate- 7/10

This one is cute, but I made it for a very specific reason. My mom was a candy maker, and I helped her as a kid. We would use white chocolate and make a ton of different colors and I would set, for hours, and paint candy molds and she would fill them up and pop them in the freezer.

We would make platters of molded chocolate, suckers…all types of stuff…and she used it to make extra money.

We even had a deal with a local video store rental place to have her chocolate suckers on the counter.

She passed away about 7 years ago and when I saw this- I knew she would have loved it.

I did a little bit of customizing- I changed the counter around because I didn’t like the way the instructions said to do it. I really HATE the outside lamp post and that was the saddest part because I love the build having an outside light source but that had me making this post out of black paper. I gave it a shot but there was NO way it was happening- paper isn’t going to hold up a light and wiring. I ended up replacing the light post with extra flowers and it turned out pretty well.

The other thing I didn’t like is that they had the light wires just clued to the side of the building and it was ugly, so I took some extra vines and just glued them along the wire, so it looks like vines growing up the wall- looked MUCH better!

I added “Arlene’s” on the top as well.

There wasn’t anything specifically “hard” on this one.
